2nd time remand for 5 suspected militants granted

The Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court granted remand of the five suspected militants including a Pakistani citizen for interrogation for the second time here on Sunday.
Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Farid Alam granted 3 days remand for 4 militants while 2 days remand for the other militant for the second time.
The Magistrate granted 3 days remand for Mohammad Alam, 45, Salamat Ullah, 45, Shafiullah, 40 and Abdul Majid, 30, a Saudi Arabian expatriate, and 2 days remand for Mohammad Kabir Amin, 50.
The police appealed to the court for 5 days remand today. Meanwhile, the fifth Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court had granted five day remand of the five suspected militants including a Pakistani citizen for interrogation on November 24.
Mentionable, the Detective Branch (DB) of CMP arrested them suspecting as militants from Hotel Lords Inn on November 23.
A Pakistani passport had been recovered from Muhammad Alam’s possession and he claimed to be the director of Global Rohingya Centre when the DB police questioned him.
Muhammad Alam admitted to the police when interrogated after arrest that he came here to financially help the Rohingyas on behalf of the Netherlands based NGO Global Rohingya Centre.
