The 2nd phase of the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football begins today (Monday) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here with Dhaka Abahani Limited taking on newcomers Saif SC in the opener at 4 pm.
The 2nd phase of the 12-team league will resume on Monday after a break of 28 days for international engagements of Bangladesh team after completion of first phase on Oct 15.
League leader Chittagong Abahani will play Farashganj SC in the other opening day’s fixture at 6:15 pm at the same venue.
On the following day (Tuesday), Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will face Dhaka Mohammedan SC at 4 pm while Brothers Union will encounter Team BJMC at 6:15 pm.
In the remaining 12th round 2nd phase matches on Wednesday (Nov 15), Sheikh Russel KC will meet Muktijoddha Sangsad KC at 4pm while Rahmatganj MFS will encounter Arambagh KS at 6:15 pm at the same venue.
After the 11th round first phase matches concluded on Oct 15, Chittagong Abahani Limited maintained top position in the list securing 26 points, followed by Sheikh Jamal DC and Dhaka Abahani Ltd with 24 points each.
