After a recess of 11 days, the phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football begins today (Tuesday) with holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club taking on Arambagh KS in the 12th round opener at Bangabandhu National Stadium at 4pm.
Two bottom teams — Sheikh Russel KC and Uttar Baridhara Club — will face each other in the other opening day’s fixture of 12th round at 6:30 pm at the same venue.
On the following day (Wednesday), Rahmatganj MFS (22 pts), the 3rd ranked team in the league, will play lowly Dhaka Mohammedan SC (9 pts) at 4pm while league leader Chittagong Abahani Ltd (24 points) will face their main contenders Dhaka Abahani Ltd (23 points) at 6:30 pm on the same day.
On Thursday (Nov 3), Brothers Union Club will meet Soccer Club, Feni at 4pm while Muktijoddha Sangsad KC will play Team BJMC at 6:30 pm in the other 12th round encounters.
The 22-round basis league match is expected to be completed on December 28 in Dhaka after Mymensingh, Chittagong, Gopalganj and Sylhet venues.
