The Walton 2nd National Women’s Pesapallo Championships begins at the Paltan Maidan on January 7. Bangladesh Pesapallo Association will arrange the pesapallo meet under auspices of Walton Group.
In this regard, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Thursday.
President of Bangladesh Pesapallo Association and Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of the Association Talha Jubaer and Treasurer of the Association Azam Ali Khan were present at the conference.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in the three-day long pesapallo competition.
Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, Dhaka District team, Sand Angel Club, Savar Community Club, Bangladesh Amateur Sports Club, JS Academy and Narayanganj Pesapallo Sports Club will compete on the knock-out basis tournament. Top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals. The winners of the two semifinals will play in the final. The winning team will be the champions of the competition.
The final will be held on January 9. State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP, will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
