Chittagong Bureau :
Chittagong Collectoriate Assistants Samity observed one hour token strike for the second day yesterday to press home their two- point demand.
These demands include change of designation and removal of salary indiscrimination of the collectorate assistants. Class -3 employees o Divisional commissioner, Deputy Commisioner and the Upazila administration offices observed this strike in the morning from 10 am.
During the one hour strike, the samity members did not join the office and staged demonstration in the in front of the respective offices.
The speakers in the demonstration said despite approval o the Prime Minister , the demands o the collectorate officials are not implemented due to bureaucratic procrastination .Head Asstt of Divisional commissioner Office Md. Giasuddin presided while the general secretary of the Collectorate Assistants Samily , Chittagong unit Md. Yunus conducted the yesterday’s program.
