Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Thursday recommended 284 persons for appointment in different posts from the non-cadre waiting list of 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.
Chairman of BPSC Dr Mohammad Sadiq said that the published recommendation list was for the first class non-cadre positions. The second class recommendation list will be published later.
The list also is available on BPSC’s website-www.bpsc.gov.bd.
A total of 2,323 aspirants were recommended for the appointment in different cadre posts.
Another 3,308 successful examinees have been kept on non-cadre posts subject to appointment based on vacancy.
The results of the 36th BCS written test were published on February 7 this year. A total of 5,990 candidates passed.
Before that, more than 200,000 candidates sat for the preliminary examination, and 13,679 of them were cleared for the written test.
The BPSC in May 2015 had published the 36th BCS examination circular seeking applications against 2,180 posts. The number of the posts was later increased to 2,485.
