State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki on Thursday said the government targeted to train 28,070 unemployed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) passed women across the country.
“The government is providing six months training on computer office application to 92-100 unemployed SSC passed women per year in every district across the country,” she said this, while replying to a starred question from treasury bench member Anwarul Abedin Khan of Mymensingh-9 in the Jatiya Sangsad.
Chumki informed the House that the government is providing training to unemployed SSC passed women under “District based Women Computer Training Project (64 District)” while the project duration is five years.
Replying to another question from treasury bench member M Ayen Uddin of Rajshahi-3, she said the government has a plan to construct working women hostel in every district, adding, “To this effect the government included hostel buildings having 45 seats for working women under the women affairs directorate complex construction project.”
