Some 28 jungle pirates out 38 belonging to 3 notorious gangs of jungle pirates-Bara Bhai Bahni, Bhai Bhai Bahini and Suman Bahini of Sundarban forest, who surrendered earlier to the law enforcing agency with the promise to leave piracy and return to normal life, were released on bail from Bagehat jail on Wednesday afternoon.
The rest 10 jungle pirates belonging to those gangs (of jungle pirates) could not be released as there are more than one specific case is pending against them.
On Tuesday all 38 jungle pirates belonging to 3 gangs appeared before the Court of District and Session Judge, Bagerhat and submitted bail petitions. But Md. Fazlul Haq, the learned judge of the court granted the bail of 28 of them. The rest 10 jungle pirates whose bail petitions were not granted are Faruk, Emdad, Animesh, Akram, Jewel, Rezaul, Alamin Hawladar, Kutubuddin and Habibur Rahman.
It may be mentioned here that on Monday, January 16 38 jungle pirate belonging to Bara Bhai Bahni, Bhai Bhai Bahini and Suman Bahni were ceremonially surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at Ruipatali in Barisal divisional town, the Headquarters of RAB-8 along with 38 fire arms and 2 thousand 9 hundred 69 live ammunitions.
