Police, in anti-drug drives from Sunday night to yesterday morning, arrested 28 persons including three drug traders and recovered 100-gram of ganja and eight pieces of Yaba tablets from four upazilas of the district.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Narail Sadar Thana police arrested 10 accused, Lohagara Thana police 11 accused including one drug trader with eight pieces of Yaba tablets, Kalia police five including two drug traders with 100-gram of ganja and Noragati Thana police arrested two accused.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
They were sent to jail after producing them before the concerned court, police sources said.
