The Polar Ice Cream 27th School Handball (Boys’ & Girls’) Tournament begins tomorrow at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium (SMMANHS).
Deputy Inspector General of Dhaka Range of Police Habibur Rahman will inaugurate the handball tournament as the chief guest, while Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited Shah Masud Imam will be with him as the special guest.
A total of 22 boys’ school and a number of 18 girls’ school will take part in the handball competition.
The handball meets will be held at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium and Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex.
Marking the forthcoming handball tournament, a press conference was held at the SMMANHS on Tuesday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Golam Habib, General Secretary of BHF Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Head of Marketing of the sponsor organization Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Abdullah Al Mamun and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Salim Mia Babu were present at the conference.
After the conference, the officials of BHF and the sponsors of the Polar Ice Cream 27th School Handball (Boys’ & Girls’) took part in a jersey unveiling programme at the same venue on the same day.
