UNB, Dhaka :A total of 27 Bangladeshis, rescued after twin incidents of boats sinking off Libyan coast on August 24, will return home on Thursday.”Yes, on September 17, 27 detained Bangladeshi nationals will fly back to Bangladesh by a Turkish airlines flight,” ASM Ashraful Islam, counsellor (labour) at Bangladesh embassy in Libya, told UNB.Earlier, the International Organization for Migration agreed to help repatriate them.Out of 78 Bangladeshis on board, 24 died and 54 were rescued alive. Of the 54 rescued, 43 have been kept in a Tripoli detention centre and the 11 others, including women and children, had been freed.The rest of the Bangladesh nationals are yet to take decision to return home.
