Twenty-seven forest bandits of the Sundarbans surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at Bagerhat town on Sunday.
The bandits from three groups surrendered also 28 guns and 1,081 rounds of bullets at Swadhinata Udyan, Bagerhat town, our local correspondent reports.
Ten members of ‘Don Bahini’, nine from ‘Chhoto Jahangir Bahini’ and eight of ‘Chhoto Shumon Bahini’ surrendered.
Enayet Hossain Mannan, Commander of Crime Protection Company (CPC) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) in Bagerhat, confirmed our local correspondent of the development.
