Police have arrested 27 activists of the BNP and Jamaat activists from different areas of the distsrict.
Chittagong’s Additional Superintendent of Police Naimul Hasan said they were arrested in an overnight raid at five different Upazilas of Chittagong after conducting a raid from Saturday night until Sunday dawn.
Of the arrested 13 belongs to the Jamaat-e-Islami and its student affiliate Islami Chhatra Shibir’s, while the others are BNP activists, said the police official.
