The Prime Minister Gold Medal for 2015 and 2016 under the auspices of University Grants Commission (UGC) will be distributed at Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasian will hand over the gold medals among the talented students.
This year, a total of 265 students from public and private universities will be awarded the Prime
Minister Gold Medal for their outstanding achievements in their respective faculties.
A total of 124 students for 2015 and 141 students for 2016 will receive the gold medals.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain will be present as special guests on the occasion.
UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan will preside over the function. UGC Member Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum will also remain present.
