26 rivers register rises, 52 falls

Water levels in 26 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 52 stations recorded falls.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, four river stations have been registered steady while two are flowing above their respective danger marks, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Thursday.
The Jamuna and the Ganges-Padma are in falling trend while the Brahmaputra and the Meghna are in rising trend. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
A total of 35.6 mm were recorded at Mymensing and 30 mm at Tangail.
