26 rivers marked rise, 57 fall

Water levels in 26 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 57 stations recorded fall.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, one river station has been registered steady while one has been recorded flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Friday.
The Kobadak at Jhikargacha is flowing above its danger levels by 12cm.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 pm yesterday.
A total of 95mm rainfall was recorded at Bandarban, 89mm at Chittagong, 87mm at Rangamati, 87mm at Lama, 84mm at Teknaf, 74mm at Cox’s Bazar, 64mm at Ramgarh, 57mm at Narayanhat, 65.4mm at Noakhali and 47.3mm at Patuakhali.
