At least 26 semi pucca dwelling houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Haji colony of Bakalia thana in the city on Thursday .
Fire Service and police sources said they are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire that burnt to ashes 26 dwelling houses as it quickly engulfed the adjacent areas.
At least four fire fighting vehicles extinguished the fire at around 12.35 pm, Fire Service Deputy Director Jasim Uddin said.
