Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 26 Bangladesh nationals while they were entering the country through Putkhali frontier of Benapole early Sunday, after going to India illegally.
The arrestees hail from different areas of Jessore, Narail and Kushtia district.
BGB Battalion-21 camp commander Subedar Shamsur Rahman said tipped off, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area in the early morning and arrested 14 women, five children and seven men while they were trying to enter Bangladesh territory during their return from India without any valid documents.
