Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 26 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations from different areas of the capital.
Some 2 grams of heroin, 820 grams of cannabis, 791 pieces of yaba, 40 bottles of Phensidyl, 30 narcotic injections and 5 liters of domestic liquor were recovered from their possession, according to a press release issued by DMP here on Friday.
The press release also said that as part of the regular anti-drug drive of DMP, they were arrested and drugs were recovered from different police
stations in the capital from 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.
A total of 23 cases have been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act with the concerned police stations.
