The number of people vaccinated for Covid-19 rose to 2,673,038 as the vaccination campaign entered the 15th day on Thursday.
Yesterday, a total of 181,985 people have vaccinated in around 1,010 vaccination centres across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) press release.
Considering the target to inoculate 13.68 crore citizens in the country, around 1.95 percent have been vaccinated.
The number of people registered for Covid-19 vaccines rose to 3,861,876 as of 2:30pm yesterday.
Meanwhile, the positivity rate of Covid-19 has decreased yesterday compared to the previous day.
Against a total of 16,152 tests in the past 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday, the positivity rate was 2.65 percent.
On the previous day, this rate was 3.13 percent against 12,748 tests.
In the same 24 hours yesterday, five people have died from Covid-19, according to another press release from the DGHS.
With this, the total number of deaths has reached 8,379, and the death rate was 1.54 percent.
At least 428 new infections were recorded in the meantime, taking the total number of people infected to 544,544, added the release.
At least 911 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the 24 hours.
The total number of recoveries rose to 493,798 and the recovery rate at 90.68 percent.
Among the deceased, four were male.
One of the deceased was aged between 51 and 60 years and the rest four were above 60 years old, added the release.
