State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said 25,000 more Sheikh Russel digital labs will be set up at different universities across the country in next 3 years.
“We already have set up 9,000 Sheikh Russel digital labs at different universities following the Prime Minister’s announcement of building Digital Bangladesh… And 25,000 more labs will be set up at different universities across the country within 3 years,” he said.
He said this on Tuesday while addressing a prize-giving ceremony titled ‘Bracathon Awards’ as the chief guest held at a city hotel under the auspices of BRAC.
The programme was also attended, among others, by KM Morshed, Director of Advocacy for Social Change, CEO of GP Mile Poitric Foli and Anothai Wathacorn, vice president (Asia region) of Dell.
Later, awards were distributed among the winners.
