Awami League lawmaker and member of Bangladesh Mahila Awami League Central Committee on Saturday said women need to make themselves self-employed and engage themselves in income-generating work through training.
She said this while addressing a sewing machine distribution programme in the town on Saturday afternoon.
Chinu also said the overall development of the country is not possible without women’s involvement.
Terming the government as women friendly, she said the government has already taken various measures for the development of women.
