Chittagong district police in nightlong drives arrested 19 activists of BNP-Jammat from different areas of Sitakunda and Lohagara on Saturday night and yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Sitakunda thana police raided Sitakunda upazila and arrested 14 Jammat-Shibir men, Rehena Akter, Sub Inspector of Sitakunda thana said.
Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara thana Mohammad Shahjahan said a team of Lohagara thana police arrested four BNP-Jammat activists from different areas of Lohagara thana last night and today.
The arrestees were involved with vandalism in different areas under the police stations recently.
