CNG refueling stations will operate 24 hours from July 1 to July 10 to ensure smooth fuel supply for passenger-carrying vehicles before and after Eid-ul-Fitr.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this at a preparatory meeting for hassle-free journey during Eid at a Chinese restaurant in the city’s Ramna area on
Thursday morning. He said no truck or covered van will be allowed to ply the country’s highways for three days each prior to and after the Eid day, excepting those carrying perishable items, medicines and export-bound apparel products.
The minister called upon the RMG factory authorities to grant Eid leave to the employees in phases to lessen home-bound rush during the festival.
