A total of 24 people, including three children and seven women, have been arrested for reportedly trespassing to India through the Putkhali border of Benapole in Jashore district.

(BGB) camp arrested the alleged trespassers in a Putkhali village field, early Monday morning, said BGB 21 Battalion Captain Lt Colonel Imran Ullah Sarkar.
BGB 21 Patkhali Camp Commander Subedar Munshi Lablur Rahman said: “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive in the area and detained 14 men, seven women, and three children from the scene.” Later, the detainees were handed over to Benapole Port police.
