A mobile court has fined and imprisoned 24 drug addicts in different areas of the city. The mobile court conducted the operation on Tuesday last with the help of the Department of Narcotics Control. Chattogram District Administration Executive Magistrate SM Alamgir led the operation. Magistrate SM Alamgir said that a total of 2 kg 400 grams of cannabis and 10 pieces of yaba were recovered during the operation.
Twenty for people have been fined and imprisoned for drug use. Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Department arrested 4 people including 5,650 pieces of yaba in different areas of the city. The arrested addicts are Md. Ansarullah (20), Dil Bahar (43), Johra Begum (43) and Tapan Chandra Mahanta (35). Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control, Ctg Metro Office. Rasheduzzaman admitted the news of imprisonment.
