23rd Young Artists’ Art Exhibition begins today

The 23rd Young Artists’ Art Exhibition 2022 will begin today at Gallery No 2, 3, 4, 5 and Sculpture Gallery of the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP as the chief guest, while State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, MP, noted art critic Prof Nazrul Islam and eminent artist Dr Farida Zaman will be also present as special guests on the occasion. To be presided over by Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, the exhibition will continue till August 25.
This year a total of 2038 artworks of 1019 young artists, aged between 21 and 35 years, were submitted for the exhibition. A total of 12 awards in 11 categories including photography will be given in this year’s exhibition.
This was announced at a press conference held at Seminar Room of the National Art Gallery of BSA on Tuesday. Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, Secretary BSA Asaduzzaman, Director of Fine Arts of BSA Mini Karim, among others, spoke at the press conference.
