A total of 2,382 members of Bangladesh Police have been infected with coronavirus as of Saturday.
Besides, eight members of the law enforcement agency have died of COVID-19 in while 361
have already made full recovery.
Among the coronavirus-infected police members, 1,041 are from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) alone, sources at Police Headquarters said.
Members of Bangladesh Police, Armed Forces and Rapid Action Battalion along with other agencies have been jointly working to ensure social distancing.
Bangladesh reported 20,995 coronavirus cases and 314 deaths as of Saturday.
