In Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election, 234 centres are risky out of 289 and 55 certres have no risk, according to police. The extra security measures will be taken for those of centers.
To hold a free and fair election on May 15, all steps have been taken, said Returning Officer Md. Yunus Ali.
He said, 234 centres are risky (important) out of 289. The administration has identified it.
The authority has taken tight security to hold a election without any trouble. Twenty to 22 police will be deployed where 10 to 12 will be in uniform at a single camp. Besides, RAB, BGB, police mobile team, Executive Magistrate, Judicial Magistrate and Ansar team will be working.
Spokesperson of Khulna Metropolitan Police Sonali Sen said, 234 centres are risky (important) out of 289, and rest as usual. Police, RAB, BGB, Ansar and APBN men will be on duty. We don’t tolerate lack of security.
It is to be noted that the total voters of Khulna City Corporation are 4,930,93. Of these 2,48,986 are males and 2,44,107 are females. Polling officers 4,972. Electronic voting machine (EVM) will be used in two polling stations. There are 2,978 voters in the 10 booths of the two centers getting the chance to vote in EVM.
