2,300 poor get free eye treatment at in Kushtia

Some 2300 impoverished eye patients at Harinarayanpur in Kushtia have received free treatment and medicines at a free eye camp organised by Dwarka Das Welfare Society and Bashudhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute, Vision Care at Dwarka Das Agarwala Women’s College on Friday .
Of them 1500 destitute, elderly and helpless patients got treatment protocol and medicines while over 100 others were selected for free eye surgery. This eye camp was inaugurated by Paban Kumar Agar Wala, Founder and Chairman of Dwarka Das Welfare Society, Md Aas-duz-Zaman, Principal, Narayan Chandra Agarwala, College Governing body president, Zahidul Islam Dablu, member and Panel Chairman Harinarayanpur Union Parishad were present on the occasion.
Bashundhara Eye Hospital Director and President of Vision Care Foundation, Prof Dr. Md. Salah Ahmed, Consultants Dr AKM Abdul Khalek and Dr. Mujibur Rahman conducted the camp. Those who have been picked for surgery will be taken to Bashudhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute at Bashundhara Residential area in city. Expenses will be born by the hospital authorities.
