At least six boys and 17 girls of Singerkash Alim Madrasha of Dawlotpur Union under Bishanat Upazila of the district fell ill after they suffered from hysteria on Monday.
Nur Uddin, Principle of Singerkash Alim Madrasha said the students attended their classes normally in the morning. Suddenly two eighth-graders started vomiting, went into convulsions and lapsed into consciousness.
Then the panic spread among other students at about 11:30am, he said. He said
Shorif khan, president of Singerkash Alim Madrasha Management Committee, advised him to send the sick to hospital.
