23 rivers marked rise, 56 fall

Water levels in 23 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 56 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water level at one river station is flowing above its danger level and water levels at two monitored river stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Sunday.
The Gur at Singra is flowing above its respective danger mark by 15 cm.
All major rivers are in falling trend and may continue to fall in the next 72 hours, the bulletin added.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Sunday.
A total of 70 mm rainfall was recorded at Madaripur, 50 mm at Dhaka, 45 mm at Panchapukuria and 44 mm at Narshindi.
