23 rivers marked rise, 51 fall

Water levels in 23 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 51 stations recorded fall.
Among the 84 monitored water level stations, five river stations have been registered steady and two river stations were registered flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Monday.
The Teesta at Dalia and the Kangsha river at Jariajanjail are flowing above its danger levels by 12 cm and 19 cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am yesterday.
A total of 104.50 mm rainfall were recorded at Nakuagaon, 103 mm at Habiganj, 74 mm at Kanaighat , 37 mm at Faridpur, 68 mm at Patuakhali, 63 mm
at Moulvi Bazar, 52 mm at Lorergarh and 48.7 mm at Satkhira.
