A three-week long ‘22nd National Art Exhibition’ will be held at National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy from July 26 to August 14.
Out of 1890 artworks 384 of 332 artists have been selected to put on display in the exhibition. 265 paintings, 63 sculptures, 47 installation works (9 videos) and 9 new media works will take place in this year’s exhibition.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith MP will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest on July 26. He will distribute awards among the winners of this year.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP, Cultural Secretary Md Ibrahim Hossain Khan and noted artist Syed Jahangir will be present as special guests in the opening ceremony. Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky will chair the session.
This was announced at a press conference held at seminar room of National Art Gallery of BSA where DG BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, Secretary Jahangir Hossain Chowdhury and Director of Fine Arts of BSA artist Moniruzzaman, were present on the occasion.
