A total of 220 children of Shishu Bikash Kendra were given dresses ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr festival as a gift from the Prime Minister.
District Administration and Bangladesh Shishu Academy jointly organized the distribution ceremony at the conference hall of local shishu academy in Rajshahi on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Jalil accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joya Maria Perera and District Children Affairs Officer Monjur Kader distributed the Eid-dresses, reports BSS.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Abdul Jalil said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to bring a smile on the face of every person and they can celebrate the Eid festival in the happiest manner.
By dint of her competent leadership the country has attained tremendous success in checking Covid-19 pandemic side by side with its vaccination.
As a whole, the premier has attained trust of the country people through her
generosity, he added.
