The BNP on Sunday alleged, there are 22 war criminals in the fold of ruling Awami League.
“The ruling party brands that they belong to the spirit of the Liberation War and blame the BNP as the party of anti-liberation force. But it is now very clear that the AL is patronizing the war criminals,” said BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office.
He has accused 22 Awami League members and their families of having links to war crimes committed in 1971.
Rizvi said, “Many people who were involved with war crimes during the liberation war now exist in the Awami League.”
Rizvi unveiled a list of 22 Awami League leaders of different grades and their family members who allegedly involved in war crimes.
The BNP leader said the names are-Advocate Quamrul Islam, L.Colonel (retired) Faruk Khan, Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Advocate Moslem Uddin, Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Qazi Jafar Ullah, Musa bin Shamser, Mirza Golam Kashem, HN Ashikur Rahman, Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Maulana Nurul Islam, Majibar Rahman Hawlader, Abdul Barek Hawladar, Malek Daria, Mohan Mia, Munshi Razzab Ali Daria, Rezaul Hawlader, Bahadur Hajra, Advocate Delwar Hossain Sardar, Hasem Sardar and Abdul Qayyum Munshi.
Rizvi also said, the ruling party activists are continuously attacking our leaders and activists nationwide, ahead of the election,” he said.
