22 rivers marked rise, 60 fall

Water levels in 22 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 60 stations recorded fall.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, four river stations have been registered steady while two rivers are flowing above danger mark, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Thursday.
The Dhaleswari at Elasin and the Kangsha at Jariajanjail are flowing above its danger levels by 11 cm and 41 cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am yesterday.
A total of 117 millimeters (mm) rainfall were recorded at Durgapur, 105 mm at Jariajanjail, 109 mm at Sunamganj and 55 mm at Lorergarh.
