Based on the theme of “Quality Education for Global Peace and Sustainable Development” the 21st International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles-2018 (ICSQCC-2018) kicks of today at permanent campus of Daffodil International University at Ashulia in the capital. Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) in association with Daffodil International University (DIU) is organizing the convention from May 03-06, 2018. Around 1000 participants including 500 foreign students and delegates from USA, UK, India, Srilanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Mauritius and other countries are participating in the convention.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, MP will inaugurate the convention as chief guest while Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, MP will be present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the convention on May 05.
Around 60 students’ quality control circle case study and 13 technical papers relevant to quality education will be presented in the convention. Besides, 43 teams in poster and slogan, 39 teams in colas, 29 teams in scit,33 teams in debate, 28 teams in quality quiz and 16 teams will compete in computer programming contest. Moreover, 28 teams will compete in world parliamentary format debate.
The main objective of the convention is to create awareness about Total Quality Management in Academics and abreast the delegates about the latest development in quality improvement in academics as well as exchange information about implementation of TQM in educational institutions.
