TCB materials were distributed among 2196 families at low prices in Bonpara Municipality of Baraigram in Natore. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mst Mariam Khatun formally inaugurated the distribution of the materials at Bonpara Degree College ground on Thursday. On the occasion, a meeting that was presided over by Bonpara Municipal Mayor KM Zakir Hossain and was attended by Upazila Awami League President Abdul Quddus Miaji, Principal Abdur Razzak Mollah, Municipal Secretary Abdul Hai, Municipal Accounts Officer Md. Delwar Hossain, all Ward Councilors including beneficiary card holder family. Each beneficiary card holder buys two kg of sugar at Rs 55 per kg, two kg of lentil pulses at Rs 85 per kg, two liters of soybean oil at Rs 110 per liter and two kg of gram at Rs 50 per kg.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mst Mariam Khatun said that out of 1898 beneficiary families of the upazila, 2198 are in Bonpara municipality, 1836 in Baraigram municipality, 1394 in Gopalpur union, 1184 in Chandai union, 1603 in Zonal union, 2111 in Nagar union and 2098 in Baraigram union, 2161 in Machgao union, 2302 in Joaria union. These materials will be distributed in every union in phases.
