District police of Chitagong in their night long raid in Satkania and Lohagara upazila rounded up 211 persons including 5 leaders, workers of Jamaat a police sources said.
These detained jamaat activities are shoulding a number violance and anarchy cases, sources said. Additonal Police Super Md. Naimul Hasan told this matter to media yesterday morning. Sources said in the raid, Secretary of Sunati UP Jammat Md. Ayub(55) was arrested during the perio and he is shouldering 10 cases in this police station. Satkania police sources said four Jamaat activists including Ward Ameer of No. 8 UP Md. Ismail and 3 others were rounded up on that night.
Additonal Police Super said among the arrestees, 188 in warranted accused and 15 in regular cases.
Besides, police recovered 1000 pieces of Yaba fromChandanaish upazila, district police sources said.
