21 rivers marked rise, 58 fall

Water levels in 21 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 58 stations recorded fall.Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at four monitored river stations have remained steady and all monitored river stations are flowing below respective danger levels, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Sunday.
The Brahmaputra and the Ganges rivers are in rising trend and the Jamuna, the Padma and the Meghna rivers are in falling trend.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Sunday.
A total of 148 mm rainfall were recorded at Dinajpur, 98.4 mm at Rangpur,
88 mm at Rohanpur and 40 mm at Kaunia.
