At least 21 people suffered burns when the cylinder of a CNG-run bus exploded in the BRAC area on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway in Palashbari upazila on Monday night.
Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station, said most of the passengers managed to get down from the bus as soon as the fire spread.
When the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Saikot Paribahan’ coming from Gangachara of Rangpur, reached the area at about 9:30 pm, the cylinder exploded, leaving 21 of its passengers inured.
