Nearly 2,098 telephone lines of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) in different areas in Uttara and Azampur is got disconnected due to snatching of its primary cable.
The clients of Shamubag, Kanchkurar Chalaban, Dakkhinkhan bazaar, Tetul Tala, Balur Math, Yasin Super Market, Super Market, Hazipara, Muktijoddha Swarani, Kancha Bazar and Brac Market areas have been out of connection both telephone and internet, as 4800-pair primary cable was snatched during the development work of the roads and highways department, said a BTCL press release on Thursday.
BTCL is working for the reinstatement of the disconnected telephone lines and expecting to make those active within seven days.
BTCL authority regretted to its valued customers for the unexpected inconvenience, the release added.
