Bangladesh have ended 2018 with 21 international victories, the most-ever for them in a calendar year. The new year 2019 awaits foreign challenge including the World Cup for the Tigers.
In all, Bangladesh are set to play at least 33 international matches in 2019 – 6 Tests, 19 ODIs and 8 T20Is. However, there are no home ODIs scheduled for Bangladesh although they can arrange any outside FTP (Future Tour Programme).
New Zealand tour: Bangladesh will be touring New Zealand for the second time in two years time in February-March. They will play a rare three-match Test series and a regular three-match ODI series. No T20Is are scheduled.

Tri-nation ODI series: The Tigers will be heading Ireland as a preparation for the 50-over World Cup. Windies will also join in the tri-series which will run in May.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: The mega event World Cup will kick off in England and Wales. The tournament consists of just ten teams and each time will face each other which means Bangladesh will be playing nine matches in the round-robin stage.

Home series against Australia: Bangladesh will be having a three-month break after the World Cup. Australia are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for three T20 Internationals in early October.

Home series against Afghanistan: Bangladesh will play Afghanistan for the first time in Tests. Afghanistan will also play two T20Is as well as one-off Test.

India tour: Bangladesh will tour neighbouring India in November for two Tests and and three T20Is. This will be India’s second bilateral series against Bangladesh at their home. The Test matches will be part of World Test Championship.

Sri Lanka tour: After touring India, Bangladesh will travel to Sri Lanka for three ODIs in December which will conclude their 2019 schedule.
