The district administration and other organs of the government are firm to hold the ensuing municipality election to be held on December 30 fair, impartial and peaceful.
This was told by DC Joynal Abedin in a view exchange meeting with the mayoral candidates held at Golapgonj upazila auditorium Wednesday.
DC Joynal Abedin and police super Noore Alam Mina urged upon the candidates to follow the rules and regulation and also to extend cooperation to the administration to observe the duties and responsibilities.
The administration warned the candidates about any kind of irregularities and cautioned that in that case law will take its own course.
The meeting was attended by Seven mayoral candidates of Golapgonj municipality.
A total of 7 candidates are contesting for Mayoral post of them, 43 parson are contesting in councilor post and 10 for the post of reserved for women Councilor. The mayor candidates are : Jakariya Ahmed Paplu (AL), Gulam Kibriya Chawdhury Shahin (BNP), Aminur Rahman Lipon (Independent), Shuhed Ahmed (JAPA), Aminul Islam Rabel (Independent), Sirajul jobber Chawdhury (Independent), Aminul Islam Amin (KM).
