Railway authorities have evicted over 2000 temporary shops illegally set up on rail line from Khilgaon to Malibagh and vowed to continue it, following death of four people in Thursday’s train mishap.
The drive that started from Khilgaon yesterday morning and ended at Malibagh around l 2.15 in the afternoon evicted some illegal makeshift markets and over 2000 temporary shops, as those were set up illegally on the rail line, railway and police sources said.
“Such drives will be continued in the days to come. There will be strict vigil to stop illegal set up of markets and shops on rail line,” a railway official said.
Four persons had been killed and five others injured at Kawran Bazar railway crossing while two trains coming from opposite direction passed the area on Thursday.
