200 trucks of cattle at Daulatdia waiting to enter Dhaka

More cattle are expected to land in different cattle markets, especially Gabtoli and Mirpur Eastern Housing cattle markets in the capital by early Monday, as around 200 cattle-laden trucks have been waiting to load ferries in Daulatdia ghat.
Besides, 20-25 cattle-laden vehicles are starting for Dhaka from Aricha every hour. Sources at the Daulatdia ghat said around 200 cattle-laden vehicles are still waiting to be ferried to Paturia in Aricha. Besides, more vehicles, carrying cattle heads, are also reportedly heading towards Daulatdia ferry ghat from different Southern districts, especially from Kushtia.
UNB Manikganj correspondent reported that a large number of cattle from several districts, including Pabna and Sirajganj are being brought to Aricha ghat by trawler. Every one hour, around 20-25 trucks carrying those cattle are leaving for Dhaka. It is expected that most of the cattle being carried on those vehicles will reach different cattle hats in Dhaka by early Monday, one day ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Meanwhile, a good number of cattle entered the country from India through various border points of different districts, including Khulna and Jessore.
