Hathazari thana police filed a violence case against about 200 activists of Chhatra Shibir before the concerned police station on Monday night accusing 200 Shibir activists mentioning names of 107 leaders, activists including CU Shibir Unit President Mostafizur Rahman.
Sub Inspector of Hathazari thana Nurul Hakim filed this case as plaintiff . The case was filed centring the firing, cocktail blasts and throwing of petrol bombs during clash occurred between Chatra league and Chhatra Shibir on Sunday last.
Hathazari thana Officer Incharge Ismail Hossain told that the accused in the case are all belongs to chatra shibir. Mentionable that the bloody incident occurred following the beating to a Shibir activisits by BCL activists on Sunday during human chain of the chatra shibir . Chase, counter chase, shoot outs and explosions occurred between the two rival student groups on Sunday within the university campus in front of Suhrawordy Hall.
Police immediately searched the hall where 13 petrol bombs and two cocktails recovered . Centring the incident, Suhrawordy hall declared closed for sine die, sources said.
