200 dead chickens have been recovered from a restaurant at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
The Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBN) has arrested seven people involved in slaughtering dead chickens at a restaurant.
Airport Superintendent of Police (Media) Mohammad Ziaul Haque confirmed the matter to the media on Saturday.
“Based on intelligence information, our special group members have arrested seven people along with 200 dead chickens on the spot of a restaurant near the airport’s customs house,” he said. They were examining the statements of them as to when and how they started supplying dead chicken for their customers.
He also said that legal action would be taken against them after initial screening.
Ali Afroz, Executive Magistrate of Shahjalal International Airport, led the operation.
