Some 20 members including their ring leader Md. Jahangir Shikdar belonging to Jahangir Bahini, the biggest notorious gang of jungle pirates of Sundarban forest who surrendered to the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at Barisal RAB headquarters on Sunday morning along with huge quantities of arms and ammunitions were sent to jail hajat in Bagerhat.
Sources said, the jungle pirates were brought before Md. Sabur Mina, Senior Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bagerhat on Monday after noon in connection with robbery and arms cases registered with Sharnkhla PS in Bagerhat district against them by Md. Delwar Hossain, DAD, RAB-8. The learned judge sent them to jail.
